Mr. Ox|an asked that the Commission write a letter of support <br />for a grant he is applying for. The grant would fund a <br />40 feasibility study for the former Oliver School and the <br />possibility of its adaptation to a home for low and moderate <br />income residents and a neighborhood center. Mr. Newburn made <br />a motion to that effect; Mrs. DeLaruelle seconded; motion <br />passed. <br />b. Task Force <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she had been asked to serve on a <br />Task Force Committee to review the policies and procedures of <br />the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation. The Committee <br />will report its findings to theState Historic Preservation <br />Officer by July. Mr. Newburn made a motion to allow Ms. <br />Kiemnec to serve on the Task Force; Mrs. Petrams seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />9. Hearing of Visitors <br />Mr. Kowalski asked for information about floor plans of some of <br />the significant historic buildings in the area. The Commission <br />told him of the Joan Romine books on Tippecanoe Place and the <br />Oliver House and of original floor plans for some South Bend <br />buildings at the Notre Dame Architecture Library. Mr. Hayes <br />indicated that Mr. Kowalski could come in and look at some floor <br />plans in the HPC office by architects Schutt and Teeple but that <br />these could not be copied or photographed until the Commission <br />checks with the City Attorney's office. <br />10. Announcements & Miscellaneous Matters <br />Mr. Nimtz made a motion to adjourn; Mr. Newburn seconded; the <br />meeting was adjourned at 8:34 p.m. <br />0 5 January 27, 1986 <br />
