As the result of the election of members of the Liaison Committee, the <br />following people will serve for the next three years as your contact between the <br />district and the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />Chairman - Nathan Martin 1164 Lincoln Way East <br />Members - Tina Martin 1164 Lincoln Way East <br />Dr. Robert Bonham 1222 Lincoln Way East <br />Jeff Berndt 1312 Lincoln Way East <br />Please contact a member of the Liaison Committee with any questions or problems that <br />arise. <br />They are your neighbors and are the first that should be consulted concerning <br />Lincoln Way East Historic District Standards and rules. The Committee is charged with <br />contacting new residents, distributing copies of the Historic District Standards, <br />answering questions, and referring problems to the staff of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. <br />The Commission staff stands at your disposal to give expert advice in restoration <br />techniques, interpretation of the Standards, issuance of Certificates of Appropriateness <br />for any changes to the exteriors of the homes, out -buildings, landscaping, drives or <br />parking, and clarification of any point in the Standards that are not immediately clear <br />to the homeowners. The Commission office is on the 11th floor of the County/City <br />Building, phone 284-9798. The director is Karen Kiemnec, and Elizabeth Straw is <br />assistant to the director. They may be reached from 8:30 - 4:30 Monday thru Friday. <br />The Commission holds regularly scheduled public meetings the 3rd Monday of each <br />month at 7:30 pm on the 3rd floor of the County/City Building at Jefferson & LaFayette <br />Streets in downtown South Bend. <br />(The Lincoln Way East Historic District includes all <br />properties between 1142-1412 Lincoln Way East, inclusively, <br />and extends to the railway tracts as the south boundary) <br />0 <br />
