Kiemnec, Director
Historic Preservation Commission of
South Bend and St. Joseph County
Room 1123 County City Building
South Bend, Indiana 46601
Dear Karen:
Thank you very much for your enthusiastic response to our appeal for you
to serve as the NAPC Statewide Representative for the State of Indiana!
The NAPC bylaws specify that members of the board of directors may not
miss more than two consecutive meetings without good cause, but there is
no such provision for Statewide Reps. We regret your not being able to
attend the up -coming National Preservation Conference in Seattle, but
please do not let that be of major concern. You may wish to either
submit a written report on preservation commission activities in Indiana
before that time, or you may wish to have someone from Indiana represent
you.
Please note the new address of the NAPC, where we share space with the
National Conference of SHPO's:
National Alliance of Preservation Commissions
Room 332 - Hall of States
444 North Capitol Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20001
And please also note the address of our NAPC director, with whom I would
imagine you are acquainted:
Cherilyn Widell
Maryland Association of Historic District Commissions
Box 783
Frederick, Maryland
Tel. no. 301-663-6820
Thank you again for offering to serve as an NAPC Statewide Rep! And
congratulations on the formation of the Indiana Alliance of Preservation
Commissions. We'll be in touch with you again sometime soon.
Sincerely,
T,4//"
Dan Kidd
Chairman, Network Committee
NAPC Board of Directors
cc: Cherilyn Widell
