The information needed for nomination is evidence of local recognition, black and white photographs, and historical documentation. Ms. Kiemnec recommended that we go ahead with the nomination. Mr. Oxian made a motion to that effect; Mr. Newburn seconded; motion passed. b. Annual Report Ms. Kiemnec asked for comments or revisions to the outline for the Annual Report which she had sent out (see Appendix G). Mr. Newburn made a motion to accept the basic outline for the report; Mr. Hayes seconded; motion passed. c. Report on Lighting Meeting Ms. Kiemnec reported on the lighting meeting held on January 8, 1985 (see Appendix H). 8. New Business a. Committee Appointments Mrs. Sporleder made committee appointments for 1985. A list will be included with the minutes in February. b. Effective Meeting Management Workshop Ms. Kiemnec asked the Commissioners if they would be interested in having Ms. Marsha Kline do a workshop on effective meeting management which would include topics such as leadership, listening, and speaking effectively. The matter was tabled for further consideration. c. Administrative Costs for Grants Mrs. Sporleder asked for a motion to give her permission to have a contract drawn up which would provide that Ms. Kiemnec, the Commission Director, receive 5% of all grants she brought in. Mr. Nimtz made such a motion; Mr. Newburn seconded; motion passed. d. Urban Demonstration Program Mrs. Sporleder asked for a motion to offer staff time to help prepare an application for the Urban Demonstration Program of the National Main Street program if the city was interested.
