Ms. Kiemnec <br />distributed a staff report (see Appendix A) which indicated <br />that the rear sign followed the standards but that the front <br />sign was out of scale with the house and the neighborhood. <br />Mr. Hayes made a motion to approve the signs with the <br />condition that the front sign be painted to match the house; <br />Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion passed. <br />2) 736 Bronson <br />Ms. Kiemnec indicated that although Mr. Brindle, the owner of <br />736 Bronson, had asked that the issue of his siding be tabled <br />until spring, the Commission needed to review his application <br />for a Certificate of Appropriateness for boarding up windows <br />on the northeast side of his house. Mr. Oxian made a motion <br />to deny the Certificate of Appropriateness and have the <br />boarding removed because it violates the standards (see <br />Appendix B); Mrs. Petrass seconded; motion passed. <br />3) 709-11 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she approved a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness for 709-11 Lincolnway East for a new rolled, <br />asphalt roof on the covered stairway in the rear of the <br />building. <br />g. Staff Report <br />• 1) Survey Update Meeting <br />• <br />Ms. Straw distributed a report on a meeting regarding an <br />update of the survey (see Appendix C). It was suggested at <br />the meeting that the best way to update the survey and revise <br />the forms was to get a Survey and Planning grant to do a <br />comprehensive update with a full time person. Mrs. Choitz <br />made a motion to accept the report and to do the revision as <br />suggested; Mrs. Petrass seconded; motion passed. <br />2) Employee 1986 Contracts <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Personnel Committee. had met and <br />evaluated the staff and recommended a raise of $4.50 to $4.95 <br />for Mrs. Hoffman and a 5% raise for Ms. Straw. Mrs. Choitz <br />made a motion to accept the committee's recommendation and to <br />give the two staff members the raises sugggested; Mrs. Petrass <br />seconded; motion passed. <br />3 <br />
