Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />2. Roil Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. John Oxian, Mrs. Martha Choitz, Mrs. Janeanne <br />Petrass, Mrs. Joann Sporleder, Mr. Odell Newburn, <br />Mrs. Gina DeLaruelle, Mr. F. Jay Nimtz. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Michael Beatty, Mr. Charles Hayes. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Karen Kiemnec, Preservation Planner; Elizabeth <br />Straw, Administrative Assistant; Jeanne Derbeck, <br />South Bend Tribune Reporter, Mr. Kevin Smith, <br />Edgewater Place Historic District resident; and <br />Mr. Tom Kenrick, Mr. Smith's architect. <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion to approve the minutes of April 16, 1984 as <br />presented; Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. <br />4. Treasurer's Report <br />Mrs. Petrass made a motion to approve the Treasurer's Report as <br />presented; Mr. Oxian seconded; motion passed. <br />5. Correspondence <br />a. Brochure on the Office of Neighborhood Conservation Workshop in <br />Boston, Mass. on June 16 - 22, 1984 <br />b. A letter from Langelier Historic Properties, Inc. which included a <br />bulletin from Preservation Action. <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Tax Act provision for depreciation <br />Is in danger of being changed.Mr. Oxian made a motion that the <br />Commission draft a letter to all our congressmen expressing our <br />concern over the issue; Mrs. Petrass seconded; motion passed. <br />Mr. Oxian will draft the letter and work with the staff on it. <br />• c.
