South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Meeting - May 17, 1996 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />t. Commission approval requested for <br />Proposal for Consultant Agreement <br />with Urban Design Group, Inc. for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that the Urban <br />Design Group, Inc. will provide master <br />planning services so the City will be able <br />to proceed with development of the <br />Downtown Mixed Used Project. There <br />will be three stages. There will be no <br />need to move to the second and third <br />stages if the issue is resolved in the first <br />stage. <br />Upon motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission accepted the <br />proposal from Urban Design Group, Inc. <br />for professional services in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Downtown Mixed Use Development) <br />r. Staff report on acquisition of property <br />in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. <br />Mr. Hunt noted that the staff has <br />received one counter offer for Celesta <br />Ross property in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. The property is a <br />residential vacant lot #125 located on E. <br />Pennsylvania St. The original purchase <br />offer was $700.00. The counter offer in <br />the amount of $1,500. The staff <br />recommends accepting the counter offer. <br />-23- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM URBAN DESIGN GROUP, INC.
