South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - April 19, 1996 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no old business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Public Hearing on Resolution No. 1423 <br />amending the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area Development Plan. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the affidavits from the <br />South Bend Tribune and Tri- County News <br />were not present at the meeting. The Public <br />Hearing on Resolution No. 1423 was continued <br />until May 3, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. <br />b. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1423. <br />Item 6.b. was tabled. <br />C. Staff report on disposition of property in <br />the South Bend Central Development Area. <br />Mr. Eddington noted that South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation has submitted a proposal for <br />developing the Robertson's Building. The <br />proposed purchase price is $100.00. The <br />proposed use is 92 residential units, 80 of <br />which will be affordable. The first floor will be <br />developed for retail use. South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation will form a wholly -owned for - <br />profit corporation to act as developer of the <br />project. Construction will begin in August <br />1996 and be complete in August 1997. South <br />Bend Heritage Foundation has asked that the <br />Commission perform certain rehab work, at a <br />cost not to exceed $350,000, prior to <br />conveyance of the property. <br />-4- <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 1423 <br />WAS CONTINUED UNTIL MAY 3, 1995 AT <br />10:00 A.M. <br />ITEM 6.13.
