June 9, 1975 <br />Page 6 <br />10. Hearing of Visitors <br />Mr. Jena said he was very interested in what the Commission was <br />doing and seeing just how it functions. He, kiowever, said he — <br />was disappointed that the public does not know where the Histor- <br />ic Preservation Commission is going. <br />Mrs. Price introduced Charles Bell, a summer intern from the <br />National Trust and said he would be assisting the County <br />Survey team. She also mentioned that the Southold Heritage <br />Foundation is getting off the ground and $75,000. will be <br />forthcoming from Community Development Funds, and additional <br />funds from the National Trust. She also mentioned that she <br />is noting new life in the West Washington area. <br />Mrs. Riedle thanked the Commission for sending her copies <br />of the minutes and announcements. <br />ll. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters <br />Ms. Wendy Clauson Schlereth had an announcement: This was <br />her last meeting! Thereupon, Mr. Rothermel made some very <br />appropriate and complimentary comments about the fine work <br />and tremendous help she has been to the Commission and <br />moved that a resolution be passed expressing the Commission's <br />appreciation of the work that Ms. Schlereth has done for them <br />and wishing her well in the completion of her graduate studies. <br />Ms. Sporleder seconded this motion and it passed unanimously. <br />12.
