South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - December 15, 1995 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (Cont.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded <br />by Ms. Auburn and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the Claims <br />submitted December 15, 1995. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Staff report on disposition of <br />property in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />Jon Hunt noted that the Commission <br />has received a proposal from the <br />Management Consortium, Inc., <br />Chicago, Illinois. The proposal is <br />for the purchase and development of <br />Lot 3 of the Blackthorn Corporate <br />Park. Lot 3 is the parcel designated <br />by the Commission for hotel use. <br />Mr. Riggs read the staff report on <br />the project. <br />The Management Consortium is <br />proposing to develop the COMFORT <br />SUITES INN AT BLACKTHORN. <br />The proposed hotel would be a part <br />of the Choice Hotels International <br />reservation network. This network is <br />the largest hotel reservation network <br />in the world. The hotel would <br />-4- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS SUBMITTED <br />DECEMBER 1, 1995 <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />
