PLEASANT STREET Dear Members of the Council: In accordance with Municipal Code Section 18-53 .8, a favorable recommendation is being submitted to the Common Council concerning the Vacation Petition as submitted by Mr. Mark Banfy, 1101 South 31st Street, South Bend, Indiana and Mr. David Knight, 1023 South 31st Street, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the following alley: The first east/west alley north of E. Pleasant Street, from the west right-of-way line of S. Thirty-First Street to the east right-of-way line of the first north/south alley west of S. Thirty-First Street, for a distance of approximately 165 feet and a width of approximately 14 feet. Part located in Eggelestons First Addition in the City of South Bend, Indiana. For your information, the Board of Public Works received favorable recommendations from the Legal Department, Police Department, Engineering Department, Fire Department, Sanitation Department, Department of Economic Development and the Area Plan Commission concerning this vacation. Copies of the recommendations received by the Board are attached. Therefore, the Board submits to the Council a favorable recommendation concerning this alley vacation.
