South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting - August 4, 1995 6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) g. Commission approval requested for Proposal for Environmental Assessment in the Sample -Ewing Development Area. Mrs. Kolata explained that we would like to have a Phase I environmental assessment done on four properties: a building at 1225 S. Fellows (former Senior Tool & Die); the U -Haul property; and the two Sample Street properties we just put up for bid. Envirocorp has submitted a proposal to do all four for a lump sum of $3,500. EIS Environmental submitted a proposal based on time and materials, estimated at $3,600. The staff recommends accepting the proposal from Envirocorp at the fixed amount of $3,500. Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the Commission accepted the Proposal from Envirocorp for a Phase I Environ- mental Assessment in the Sample -Ewing j Development Area. h. i. COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM ENVIROCORP FOR A PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT IN THE SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA Commission approval requested for Resolution No. 1370 transferring real property to the City of South Bend, Indiana. Mrs. Kolata explained that Resolution No. 1370 transfers 24 pieces of property that the Commission has purchased in the Sample -Ewing Development Area to the Board of Public Works for the ultimate use of the Family & Children's Center. Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by Mr Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the Commission approved Resolution No. 1370 transferring real property to the City of South Bend, Indiana. Commission approval requested for Loan and Grant in connection with the Affordable Loan Program through the Bureau of Housing.
