South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - July 7, 1995
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
r. continued...
Mrs. Kolata noted that Community
Affairs has asked to use the Dreisbach
lots for overflow parking on July 14 for
the International Collectibles Show. The
staff recommends approving the request.
Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded
by Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously
carried, the Commission approved the use
of the Dreisbach lots by Community
Affairs on July 14, 1995 for overflow
parking.
S. Commission approval requested for
Proposal from EIS Environmental
Engineers for professional services in
the Sample -Ewing Development Area.
Mrs. Kolata explained that in connection
with our sale of the Transwestern site to
Design Packaging, Design Packaging has
asked us to do follow -up testing at the site
of the former Transwestern Building.
The fee for their services is estimated to
be between $19,000 and $23,000, based
on an hourly rate.
Ms. Manier noted that, although the fee
for services is reasonable, the services are
more than we usually provide, so the staff
intends to ask Design Packaging to bear
half of the cost, not to exceed $10,000.
The staff recommends accepting the
proposal. If Design Packaging refuses to
pay a portion, we will bring it back to the
Commission for additional authorization.
-20-
COMMISSION APPROVED THE USE OF THE
DREISBACH LOTS ON JULY 14, 1995 BY
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
