Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1359 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 3234 <br />Nimtz Parkway in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. <br />(Business Systems, Inc.) <br />Mr. Beitzinger read the staff report on <br />the project. Business Systems is in the <br />business of providing office supplies and <br />office furniture and related services to <br />the South Bend area and surrounding <br />communities. In business for 61 years, <br />they now sell to mid to large users on a <br />contract basis. Their project calls for <br />the construction of a 26,600 square foot <br />building on 4 acres just west of the <br />Nimtz Parkway and Bendix Drive <br />intersection. The new building will <br />house the corporate offices and the <br />warehousing operations. This will be <br />their only location, The total cost of the <br />project is estimated at $800,000. <br />Per the petition, it is estimated that this <br />project will create one to two (1 -2) <br />permanent new jobs within the first year <br />representing an annual payroll of <br />between $15,000 and $30,000, and will <br />maintain fifty two (52) existing <br />permanent full time jobs and three (3) <br />In <br />
