South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - May 5, 1995
W. continued...
Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded
by Mr. Hcjnacki and unanimously
carried, the Commission accepted the
Proposal from Fisher Surveying and
Engineering for Professional Services in
the Airport Economic Development
Area.
X. Commission approval requested for
Amendment to Relocation Pblicy.
Mrs. Kolata noted that the Commission
formally adopted a Relocation Policy in
May 1991. HUD has recently revised its
Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real
Property Acquisition Policies Act of
1970. It now requires multiple payments
to tenants who are being relocated
instead of one, lump -sum payment. This
amendment to the Commission's policy
addresses that requirement by stipulating
how we will make the payments. If we
are paying the household directly, we
will make a 50% payment when they
have completed the move and another
50% payment six months later. If we
are pre- paying the landlord, the multiple
payments will be made by paying the
landlord his share and the tenant his
share.
Upon a motion by Mr. Hcjnacki,
seconded by Mr. Hunt and unanimously
carried, the Commission approved the
Amendment to Relocation Policy.
7. PROGRESS REPORTS
Mrs. Kolata noted that the Trammell Crow
LV project has taken another step forward.
