NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />q. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hcjnacki, <br />seconded by Mr. Hunt and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission accepted the <br />counter offer from Abdullah and Julia <br />Nabaa in the amount of $25,873.40 for <br />property located at 601 E. Ohio Street. <br />The second counter offer is from <br />Amerco Real Estate Company which is <br />the parent company of U -Haul of <br />America. It is for the U -Haul property <br />on S. Michigan Street. The counter <br />offer is in the amount of $230,000, to <br />include the real property, improvements, <br />and all relocation benefits. The staff <br />recommends accepting the counter offer. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded <br />by Mr. Hcjnacki and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission accepted the <br />counter offer of $230,000 from Amerco <br />Real Estate Company for real property <br />located at 1120 S. Michigan, <br />improvements on that property, and all <br />relocation benefits. <br />r. Rescission of Community Development <br />Program Contract for Southeast <br />Housing Activity. (CD94 -110) <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that a couple of <br />months ago the Commission approved a <br />Contract for $120,000 of Community <br />Development Block Grant funds to do <br />the house moves. We would like that <br />Contract rescinded because we feel the <br />project would work better if the funds <br />were administered by a different not -for- <br />profit agency.
