South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />AdW Regular Meeting - April 7, 1995 <br />There was no report. <br />f. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1334 rescinding Resolution <br />No. 1330 and approving an application for <br />real property tax deduction for property <br />located at 2740 Viridian Drive in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Communication Best Design) <br />Mr. Beitzinger read a memorandum <br />regarding Resolution No. 1334 which <br />changes the term of the tax abatement given <br />to Communication Test Design from a three <br />year abatement to a six year abatement. <br />Communication lbst Design applied for real <br />property tax abatement on March 14, 1995. <br />In Mr. Beitzinger's discussions with the <br />company prior to submission of the tax <br />abatement application, he determined that <br />the company best fit a warehousing <br />operation. Using the warehousing <br />qualification, the size of their building <br />expansion qualified Communication lost <br />Design for three years of real property <br />abatement. Upon further review by Mr. <br />Robert Bugge, director of operations in the <br />home office in West Chester, Pennsylvania, <br />a request was made to reconsider the <br />petition under a manufacturing qualification <br />Mr. Bugge informed me that although they <br />do a lot of warehousing for Ameritech, the <br />direct use of most of the building expansion <br />will be assembly of underground <br />6.
