NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />C. continued... <br />the Southeast Neighborhood through its <br />ministries. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the staff has met <br />with representatives from the church <br />over a period of a year and a half. The <br />staff has been very impressed with the <br />spiritual and social programs that the <br />church operated or plans to undertake. <br />The staff is supportive of their activities <br />in the area. The staff also recommends <br />accepting the offer to trade land. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />accepted the offer from New Hope <br />Missionary Baptist Church to trade the <br />land they own on Ohio and Carroll <br />Streets for which the Commission has <br />previously sent purchase offers for <br />Parcels 31A and 31B in the Sample - <br />Ewing Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the staff in <br />December received a proposal from <br />Sweet Realty to purchase property on the <br />corner of Lafayette and Stull Streets <br />(Disposition Parcel No. 17) for $1,700. <br />The property is 3,811 square feet. The <br />Commission's minimum bid price for the <br />property was $3,400.
