NEW BUSINFSS (Cont.) <br />a. continued... <br />Plan; 2) An affidavit of Carol Smith, <br />Advertising Manager of the South Bend <br />Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing was <br />published in that daily newspaper on <br />December 23, 1994; 3) An affidavit of Lisa <br />J. Andrysiak, Classified Manager of the <br />Tri- County News, that the Notice of <br />Hearing was published in that weekly <br />newspaper on December 23, 1994; 4) A <br />memo from Ann Kolata that on <br />December 16, 1994, she sent a copy of the <br />Notice of Hearing to the affected property <br />owners and registered neighborhood <br />associations; 5) A copy of Resolution <br />No. 1305 which is the subject of the public <br />hearing; 6) As of 10:00 a.m. on January 4, <br />1995, 0 written remonstrances were <br />received. <br />Mr. Faccenda asked if there was any <br />objection to entering the items into the <br />record. There were no objections and the <br />items were so entered. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that the purpose of <br />Resolution No. 1305 is to add certain <br />properties to the acquisition list which is <br />part of the Development Plan for the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. The <br />properties being added to the acquisition list <br />are south of Sample Street, east of Fellows <br />Street, north of the alley between Broadway <br />and Pennsylvania, and west of High Street <br />and the railroad track. The staff intends to <br />send purchase offers for these properties in <br />phases throughout the year, beginning the <br />-4- <br />
