Am <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 6, 1994 <br />n. Commission approval requested for use of <br />Morris Civic Plaza on June 15, 1994, by <br />Aids Task Force. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the Aids Task Force <br />has asked to use the Morris Civic Plaza on <br />June 15, 1994 for an opening ceremony for <br />the Aids Awareness Regional Conference <br />which will be held at Century Center on <br />June 16 and 17. They would like to <br />decorate the large evergreen tree and hold a <br />candlelight vigil. They will remove the <br />decorations Saturday night. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Piasecki, seconded <br />by Mr. Sharp and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the use of the Morris <br />Civic Plaza on June 15, 1994 by the Aids <br />Task Force, subject to receipt of proof of <br />insurance and indemnification. <br />o. Commission approval requested for Contract <br />with Teska Associates. Inc. for professional <br />services in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. <br />Mr. Mariani explained that the Southeast <br />Quality of Life neighborhood organization <br />has selected Teska Associates to be the <br />consultant to work with the neighborhood in <br />developing a comprehensive neighborhood <br />plan. They will provide their services for <br />$50,000 plus an additional $7,500 to hire <br />someone through South Bend Heritage to <br />work with the neighborhood organization to <br />do neighborhood outreach. We have <br />received a $5,000 grant from the State of <br />Indiana to offset some of the cost. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />-14- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE USE OF THE <br />MORRIS CIVIC PLAZA ON JUNE 15, 1994 BY <br />THE AIDS TASK FORCE, SUBJECT TO <br />RECEIPT OF PROOF OF INSURANCE AND <br />INDEMNIFICATION <br />
