NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />o. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Piasecki, seconded COMMISSION APPROVED THE ADDENDUM <br />by Mr. Sharp and unanimously carried, the TO LEASE BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND <br />Commission approved the Addendum to REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE <br />Lease between the South Bend SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION. (SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />Redevelopment Authority and the South DEVELOPMENT AREA PUBLIC <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission. (South IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) (MONROE PARK <br />Bend Central Development Area Public ASSOCIATES) <br />Improvement Project) (Monroe Park <br />Associates) <br />p. Commission approval requested for Proposal <br />from Lawson - Fisher Associates for <br />Drofessional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. ( East Bank <br />Walkways) <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that Lawson- Fisher <br />Associates designed a walkway going north <br />along the river from Madison Center to <br />Niles Avenue near Sunny Italy. The plans <br />were drawn last year but the project has not <br />been bid out yet. Since then, Madison <br />Center notified us that they have purchased <br />additional property to the north and would <br />prefer to have the walkway continue north <br />along the river bank rather than have it cut <br />across their property. We asked Lawson - <br />Fisher to change the design so the walkway <br />would go north along the river to the south <br />line of vacated Hagarty Street. Lawson - <br />Fisher can do this for an additional fee of <br />$9,735 plus $1,750 for legal easements, <br />surveys and descriptions. <br />-21- <br />
