The <br />staff recommends accepting the counter offer. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded COMMISSION APPROVED THE COUNTER <br />by Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the OFFER FROM JOE FENNESSEE IN THE <br />Commission approved the counter offer from AMOUNT OF $1,025 FOR PROPERTY <br />Joe Fennessee in the amount of $1,025 for LOCATED AT 210 PENNSYLVANIA STREET <br />property located at 210 Pennsylvania Street. <br />PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. Okafor gave an update on the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area acquisition and relocation. <br />There were approximately 200 privately owned <br />properties that the Commission put on its <br />acquisition list in 1993. We have made purchase <br />offers on 196. We have now acquired 62 of <br />those. The remaining 134 are in various stages of <br />the acquisition process: 48 of those offers have <br />been accepted and just need to go through the <br />closing process. The first few have been filed for <br />condemnation. The staff has completed the <br />relocation of 14 - 18 renters or owners. <br />In the second phase, east of Fellows Street, we <br />have had survey and title work done on 88 <br />properties and have assigned the appraisal of those <br />88 properties to various appraisers. <br />-17- <br />PROGRESS REPORTS <br />
