NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />b. ci> continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by <br />Mr. Sharp and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized the Redevelopment <br />staff to sign the Petition for Tax Abatement <br />on behalf of Toll Road Industrial Partners, <br />L.P. <br />b.(2) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1233 aUDrovine an avnlication <br />for real phi y tax deduction for proppM <br />located at Lot 18C, Toll Road Industrial Park <br />in the Airoort Economic Development Area. <br />(Toll Road Industrial Partners, L.P.) <br />Mr. Beitzinger read the staff report on the <br />project. Toll Road Industrial Partners will <br />construct a 100,000 square foot building to <br />lease to Tech Data, Inc. Tech Data, Inc. is a <br />national company which is in the business of <br />warehousing and distributing micro computer <br />related software and hardware products. The <br />building will serve as a new regional <br />distribution center. The total cost of the <br />project is estimated to be $2,400,000. <br />The project will create thirty to fifty <br />permanent new jobs within the first year with <br />an annual payroll of approximately $750,000. <br />Toll Road Industrial Partners has not been <br />granted any previous tax abatement. The <br />property is properly zoned for the proposed <br />use. The property is not located in an area <br />presently designated as a Tax Abatement <br />Impact Area by the South Bend Common <br />Council.
