South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - March 4, 1994 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />41 <br />clroo' <br />j. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1234 relating to acquisition of <br />propgrty in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area by Eminent Domain. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that Resolution No. 1234 <br />authorizes the sending of purchase offers, <br />with the right of eminent domain, on the four <br />properties listed. Three of those properties <br />are Main Muffler. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Sharp, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1234 <br />relating to acquisition of property in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area by Eminent <br />Domain. <br />k. Sir port on acquisition of property in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the staff has received <br />nine counter offers. which are being put <br />forward at this time. <br />The first is from Wilbur and Essie Lacy for a <br />vacant lot located at 1009/1011 Carroll. The <br />original purchase offer was for $588. The <br />counter offer is in the amount of $800. The <br />staff recommends accepting the counter offer. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. <br />1234 RELATING TO ACQUISITION OF <br />PROPERTY IN THE SAMPLE -EWING <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA BY EMINENT <br />DOMAIN <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE COUNTER <br />Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, the OFFER FROM WILBUR AND ESSIE LACY IN <br />Commission accepted the counter offer from THE AMOUNT OF $800 FOR PROPERTY <br />Wilbur and Essie Lacy in the amount of $800 LOCATED AT 1009/1011 CARROLL <br />for property located at 1009/1011 Carroll. <br />-12- <br />
