The <br />Rum Village Neighborhood has put out a <br />Request for Proposals, received <br />proposals, and interviewed applicants. <br />They have selected Camiros, Ltd. as <br />their consultant and the contract is before <br />you today. <br />Mr. Kabat noted that fifteen proposals <br />were solicited. Three proposals were <br />received. The neighborhood is excited <br />to be moving forward in its planning <br />process with Camiros. They expect to <br />receive a final written plan outlining the <br />neighborhood vision and strategies to <br />achieve that vision by October 1994. <br />The contract with Camiros is in the <br />amount of $49,400. It includes a series <br />of meetings in South Bend and requires <br />our Planning Division to provide certain <br />information. Camiros will help establish <br />community leadership, identify <br />problems, develop goals and strategies, <br />and write the plan. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Sharp, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission approved the <br />Professional Service Agreement with <br />Camiros, Ltd. related to the Rum Village <br />Neighborhood in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />r -10- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH <br />CAMIROS, LTD.
