ORDINANCE N0. ~ ~ _1~~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />APPROPRIATING $ 16,000.00 <br />INDIANA RIVER RESCUE FUND (FUND #291 ) <br />........................................................................................................ <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The City of South Bend through its Fire Department operates a Indiana River <br />Rescue Response Team, which contracts with the Indiana State Emergency <br />Management Agency to provide river rescue services throughout the_ State of Indiana <br />and elsewhere as directed by the State of Indiana. <br />To operate at full efficiency and best protect the public, the Hazardous <br />Materials Response Team needs to purchase new equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I.
