South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - April 2, 1993
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
c. continued...
Mrs. Kolata explained that Kalamaros
Associates is the new owner of the Sheffer
Building. We had leased a 10'x979 piece of
land behind that building to the former owners
to be used for parking. We cancelled that lease
and are willing to lease that piece of property to
the new owners until it is needed for the
expansion of the Morris Performing Arts
Center.
The terms of the lease are that for $1.00 per
year they may use the property for parking
during business hours and make it available for
public parking during non - business hours.
Kalamaros Associates will maintain the property
and keep it insured. They are aware that the
property will be used as part of the Morris
expansion. The lease provides for a 30 -day
notice of termination.
Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded by
Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the
Commission approved the Lease with Kalamaros
Associates in the South Bend Central
Development Area.
