Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded COMMISSION APPROVED CONTRACT FOR by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, SALE OF LAND FOR PRIVATE the Commission approved the Contract for DEVELOPMENT (POLICEMEN'S FEDERAL Sale of Land for Private Development CREDIT UNION) (Policemen's Federal Credit Union) and authorized execution of all necessary documents. 7. PROGRESS REPORTS Mrs. Kolata noted that we received an update PROGRESS REPORTS from the South Bend Tribune on their expansion. They have already started to use the loading dock at the back of the addition where the Colfax Theater used to be. They have about 50%- of their equipment in the ground floor and are trying to find brick to match the existing exterior brick. On the printing press portion of the expansion, they expect to begin putting up the steel within the next week. They are on, or ahead of, schedule. It will be a very nice project. Mr. Donoho noted that there was some concern that the Tribune would not use local craftsmen for construction. But, to their credit, they have used all local contractors. Mr. Bland asked if the Commission was concerned that the Palais Royale project and the College Football Hall of Fame project are competing for the same charitable dollars. Mrs. Kolata responded that we expect most of the Palais fundraising to be within the region, whereas most of the Hall of Fame solicitation is outside the area. Also, the Palais project requires donations, but the Hall of Fame is requesting sponsorships, a business arrangement rather a than charitable donation. 8.
