NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />m. continued... <br />We are anticipating a public sale and <br />Resolution No. 1065 also authorizes <br />publication of the Notice of Intent to <br />Sell Bonds. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Huddleston, seconded <br />by Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved Resolution No. <br />1065 amending Resolution No. 1054 and <br />amending the resolutions under which tax <br />increment bonds are outstanding. Mr. <br />Faccenda abstained. <br />n. Commission approval reauested for <br />Sub -lease of Property in Monroe Park to <br />the Housing Development Corporation. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that the Commission <br />currently leases property from the <br />1;60� Redevelopment Authority at 611 E. South <br />Street and 701 E. South Street. We <br />originally intended to rehatilitate these <br />properties ourselves. We have decided <br />that we prefer to have the HDC do the <br />rehab. They are willing to do the rehab <br />if they receive money from the HOME funds <br />for which they have applied. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Ms. Huddleston and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission approved the <br />Sub -lease of Property for 611 E. South <br />and 701 E. South Street in Monroe Park to <br />the Housing Development Corporation, <br />contingent upon receipt of HOME funds by <br />the HDS to rehab the properties. <br />o. Staff report on acquisition of property <br />in the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that we had sent a <br />purchase offer to the owners of Parcel <br />C4 -39a and C4 -39b, the Senor Kelly's <br />IL parking lot. Our offer was in the amount <br />of $183,000. We have received a counter <br />offer from Ed Davis, representing that he <br />is speaking for all of the owners.
