Those <br />are expenditures which can be reimbursed <br />fro tax increment in the area. <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys, Controller, <br />announced that the City intends to use <br />repayment from the Rum Village tax <br />increment to address the flooding problem <br />in Bowman Creek and in the Chippewa <br />area. The Commission is being asked to <br />reimburse the City's Cum Sewer Fund in <br />the amount of $260,000. The City will <br />then ask the Common Council to <br />appropriate the money for those uses. <br />$221,000 will be used to dig out Bowman <br />Creek and put in a concrete bottom. <br />$24,000 will be used for drainage <br />improvements and construction of a <br />retention basin in the Chippewa area. <br />The remainder will be used for <br />eng'neering. <br />Mr. Coleman asked that Vicki Black and <br />Margaret Woods be recognized for leading <br />the crusade to find a solution to the <br />Bo an Creek problem. <br />Upor. a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Conpission approved Resolution No. 1028 <br />authorizing reimbursement to the City of <br />South Bend for expenditures made within <br />the Rum Village Industrial Park. <br />C. The proposal from EIS is for <br />00 - $5,000.
