The <br />only bidder for the property was South <br />Bend Heritage Foundation (SBH) who <br />offered $64,750, the minimum offering <br />price established by the Commission. SBH <br />proposes to construct multi - family <br />residential units whose design will be <br />compatible with the neighborhood. They <br />propose to construct 36 two bedroom units <br />and 29 three bedroom units. The exterior <br />will be vinyl sided with wood fascia and <br />trim. <br />Their have received Low Income Housing Tax <br />Credits and for the next fifteen years <br />will be required to rent to families <br />whose income does not exceed 60& of <br />median income in South Bend. <br />The West Washington- Chapin Design Review <br />Committee has met and approved the design <br />of he project.
