NEW BU: <br />b. coi <br />C. <br />elopment Commission <br />- May 24, 1991 <br />(Cont.) <br />Upcn a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Cczmission approved the request by Center <br />City Associates for use of the Morris <br />Civic Plaza on June 20. <br />Mr. Wolf asked the Ccmmission to consider <br />adcLorting a more streamlined procedure for <br />approving and reserving the use of the <br />Morris Civic Plaza so that the public <br />will use it more. Mrs. Kolata said she <br />would look into that. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that the contract with <br />The Troyer Group is part of a planning <br />effDrt considering different options for <br />the School Corporation's education <br />The City has a vested interest <br />in a decision that is made. Mr. Hunt <br />isa member of a citizen cannnittee <br />wor ang with the School Corporation to <br />dec'de on a location for the education <br />cen . The Troyer Group will provide <br />objective data on cost comparison, size, <br />etc The amount of the contract is <br />$5,800. Much of the data (Robertson's <br />building and Central High School) already <br />exits. <br />Mr. Combs asked why the School <br />Corporation wasn't paying for these <br />ices. Mr. Hunt responded that, as a <br />menber of the Committee and because of <br />Redevelopment's interest in the location <br />decision, he offered to pay for this <br />information to move the process forward. <br />Ms. Manier noted that she had not had an <br />opportunity to review the contract and <br />asko that the Commission take its action <br />subject to legal review. <br />-4- <br />COFM'ESSION APPROVED THE REQUEST <br />BY CENTER CITY ASSOCIATES FOR USE <br />OF THE MORRIS CIVIC PLAZA ON JUNE <br />20 <br />
