There were no objections and <br />the items were so entered. <br />Mr. Norris explained that Resolution No. <br />990 amends the Development Plan for the <br />6. ITEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />Wes Washington - Chapin Development Area <br />by adding 13 properties to the <br />accuisition list. <br />Mr. Norris explained that the Development <br />Plwi for the West Washington - Chapin <br />Dev cement Area is based on a <br />Corprehensive Plan developed by the <br />neigbborhood. The process began in 1986 <br />by determining what the neighborhood saw <br />as is needs and its vision for the <br />ara i. The amendment to the Development <br />Plemi is the next step in that <br />rehensive Plan. The WWCRP has <br />app owed the acquisition list. <br />Phase one acquisition along West <br />Washington Street is nearly complete. <br />Phase two acquisition is along the 100 to <br />300 block of Chapin Street. Most of the <br />properties to be acquired are vacant <br />laryR. The Comprehensive Plan calls for <br />ccn#excial development in that area. <br />Mr. Norris noted that the Connnission is <br />also acquiring two pieces of property on <br />Jefferson Street and Thomas Street which <br />will be sold to the Northern Indiana <br />Historical Society to be used in <br />co ection with Copshaholm. <br />Ms. IAuburn opened the Public Hearing. <br />LAMZY WILLSAMS: Address, 2206 Prast <br />Blvd. Mr. Norris said he wants to <br />acqtdre the two pieces of property on <br />Jefferson and Thomas.
