South Bend edevelopment Commission <br />Regular Mee ing - May 10, 1991 <br />I <br />C. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />'Commission approved Resolution No. 990 <br />the Development Plan for the <br />Wes Washington - Chapin Development Area. <br />Mrs Kolata explained that the Commission <br />sent a purchase offer some time ago to <br />the owner of the Colfax Theater. The <br />owner, through their attorney, has <br />co mitered with an offer of $35,000. <br />Thene are a number of judgements and <br />mor.gage liens on the property. Tony <br />Kowals, attorney for the owner, has <br />worced to get the mortgages and liens <br />released. They are currently in escrow <br />at the title company subject to <br />'ssion approval of the counter <br />off . The staff recommends accepting <br />the counter offer. We would proceed with <br />cl inq before the end of the month. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs, the Commission approved the <br />co ter offer of $35,000 for the lien <br />free Parcel C27 -7 in the South Bend <br />Cenlxal Development Area. <br />Mrs Kolata noted that we would like to <br />have the Board of Public Works act as the <br />C 'ssion's agent for demolition of the <br />Cof ax Theater.
