NEW BUS:
•_• o
Cit!
City
Air?
and
the
res
Pro]
of 1
pro]
Thi;
of 1
disc
pro]
Vir.
the
Can
regi
CXM
of I
Dire
of 1
Buis
of
rep:
Fow
the
elcpment Comission
- November 9, 1990
(Cont.)
Council as annexation areas to the
of South Bend. One is primarily
port land south of Old Cleveland Rd.
the other is the developed portion of
Toll Road Industrial Park. 2) The
elution also adds property to the
erty acquisition list. This section
he plan originally said there was no
erty to be acquired at this time.
has been revised to incorporate some
he properties that have been
sussed at this meeting as well as
erty along Bendix Drive just north of
than Dr. 3) The final amerxkent to
plan is to establish a Design Review
Ittee and establish the rules and
lations for operation of the
d.ttee. The committee would consist
Line members: the Redevelopment
actor, the City Engineer, the Director
he Area Plan Commission, the City
ding Commissioner, a representative
t. Joseph County Airport Authority, a
esentative of the Industrial
dation and three members appointed by
commission representing business or
unity interests in the area.
Those are the primary changes that are
p for the plan. The procedure for
awzding the plan is that if you adopt
the resolution today you are saying it is
y intent to amend the plan in this
way. Because we are adding more than 20%
of the area as an expansion area we need
to bring this before the Area Plan
'ssion and the Common Council. We
will. be coming back to the Commission for
a pLblic hearing and confirming
resclution after going to the Area Plan
Ccnmission and the City Council.
-25-
