South Bend evelopment Commission
Regular Mee ing - October 26, 1990
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
a. continued....
0
Mr. Fedder said that he had recently
spoken with Mr. Ziolkowski and he will
continue to upgrade the areas and he
miglit build some additional buildings to
house some inventory or to put some
pment. Mr. Ziolkowski is spending a
lot of time and money to do something
1' Monroe Sample at his cost and why
should the taxpayers do it.
Ms.I Auburn asked if there were any other
queotions or discussion from the
Ms. Auburn stated that we are closing the
public hearing portion that's item a. and
move! to Item 6b. on the agenda which is
our action on the Resolution.
Mr. Donoho stated that from the insight
and input that's here today I don't feel
comfortable with Substitute Resolution
No. 962. I think our prime motive here
should be continuation of business that
exi is already, with that business
undExstanding that one of the things we
are after is to improve the aesthetics of
all the business in the area. So that
any investment made from this point on is
done in cooperation with existing
business. We don't intend to put anyone
out of business and it appears as though
this resolution may not do that but it
could sure help. With that in mind I
would like to table the matter until the
next, regular scheduled meeting and that
notice be given to all participating
parties that might be concerned with it.
Whether we're legally bound by it or not
-29-
