South Bend edevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - July 27, 1990 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. conuinuett... <br />the Notice of Hearing on July 3, 1990; <br />5.) a list of neighborhood associations <br />who previously registered with the <br />Redevelopment Commission concerning the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />These neighborhood associations were sent <br />a copy of the Notice of Hearing on July <br />3, 990; 6.) a copy of Substitute <br />Resolution No. 944 which is the subject <br />of the public hearing. 7.) As of 10:00 <br />a.m on July 27, 1990, 0 written <br />rem6nstrances were received. <br />Mrs Kolata noted that the only change to <br />the development plan is the addition of <br />Morn,oe Park properties to the acquisition <br />list. We acquired some property last <br />fall, mostly vacant land. This second <br />phase of recent acquisition includes a <br />tot,Ll of 18 properties, mostly <br />residential. Mrs. Kolata noted that we <br />intimd to demolish one house and rehab <br />the remainder. We would like to complete <br />the renovation of the Monroe Park area by <br />the end of 1991. <br />Ms. Auburn asked if there were any <br />objections to entering the items for <br />public hearing into the record. There <br />w no objections and the items were so <br />Ms. Auburn opened the public hearing on <br />Sub�titute Resolution No. 944. <br />Thea a was no one who wished to be heard. <br />Ms. Auburn closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Piasecki asked how many parcels are <br />presc ently owned by the Commission. Mrs. <br />Kol to responded that we own about 43 <br />parcels. The phase one acquisition <br />consisted of properties we intend to <br />clez r and offer for development. This <br />acqLisition consists of mostly rental <br />properties.
