NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. contmiea... <br />Mr. pfle: Yes, that's right. <br />Specifically, we are adding to the <br />acquLsition list the names of the <br />projects that we previously announced <br />that we intend to do improvements to. <br />Name y, the sections of Niles Avenue; <br />Madison Street, a portion of that; a <br />portion of Washington Street; various <br />curb and sidewalks in the Central <br />Busimess District; a small portion of the <br />parkLng lot...; those that have been <br />spec fically identified in our upcoming <br />1990 TIF bond issue. Specifically those <br />and bn1v those. <br />Mr. Binder: I had a few ideas within <br />these areas that would improve the <br />area 5. Now, do I give these ideas to <br />you? <br />Ms. pfotenhauer: That might came under <br />Drivileae of the floor. <br />Mr. Binder: There are a couple of ideas <br />here that would benefit the downtown <br />area And, one of these is the sidewalk <br />east of the Jefferson Street bridge, on <br />the Howard Park side. It's a pretty bad <br />E. I wrote a letter to the Mayor <br />same of these ideas. I don't know <br />got them or if you got then. But <br />idewalk is in dire need of repair. <br />Mr. t: Is this the sidewalk that runs <br />alondr the Howard Park Wall? <br />Mr. : No, its the sidewalk that <br />runs east and west along Jefferson. <br />Y ago there used to be a drinking <br />fountain there also. Off the wall. It <br />would be nice to have a drinking fountain <br />also. A drinking fountain would be <br />an asset to the Howard Park area. <br />Also over by Memorial hospital, there is <br />an 41ey that runs north and south <br />-5- <br />
