Q:June 1st seems like an aggressive schedule - assuming award / contract might take a week or <br />two that is a likely start date of May 1st-ish (not assuming any issues with starting due to Covid). <br />Assuming we have to wait for cure times for coating etc. - Is June 1st completion set in stone? <br />Q:Would like to know of the new time line could be extended to 8 weeks? <br />A: The project will have a substantial completion date of June 1 <br />July 3 and a final completion <br />dateof June 8 July 10. During all work, the Contractor may close Levels 4 and 5, maintaining a <br />drive lane up to Levels 6 and 7. The contract time will start when the Notice to Proceed is <br />delivered and signed. <br />Q:Is this a prevailing wage project and was the pre bid attendance mandatory? <br />A: No and No. <br />Q:Paint removal is down to bare concrete or just what is loose? <br />A: See Section 09 9100 – 5 in the specifications for expectation of preparing surfaces. <br />E. Preparation of coated and uncoated concrete surfaces: <br />1.Concrete surfaces shall be waterblasted as a minimum to remove contaminants <br />and loose paint.
