Placing the Avon under The Entertainment District management <br />accomplishes several things: <br />a. The construction and capital financing costs can be folded into these <br />costs for the entire Entertainment District; consequently, the Avon <br />operation would be relieved of that burden. <br />b. The management costs for the Avon could be subsumed by the <br />management of The Entertainment District, thereby saving these costs <br />accredited to the Avon Theatre operation. <br />c. The Avon Theatre, under Entertainment District management, becomes <br />a part of the "campus" of marketable venues for use other than film, i.e. <br />conventions, seminars, educational, business and other civic uses. <br />d. Marketing the Avon film program becomes a part of the larger <br />marketing of The Entertainment District and saves some costs. <br />e. The concept of The Entertainment District is enhanced by the addition <br />of an art film house to the mix. <br />C. Operations Proforma <br />e Avon Theatre - single screen with 450 seats on the main floor, 250 in <br />he balcony. (We should look at main floor operation only, refurbishing the <br />alcony at a later date.) <br />- 35 - <br />
