NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />i �.1i�77AlW <br />a <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Combs, seconded by COPM ISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. <br />Mr Piasecki and unanimously carried, the 879 APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR <br />Cazftission adopted Resolution No. 879 REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION FOR <br />approving an application for real PROPERTY LOCATED AT 530 N. NILES <br />property tax deduction for property AVENUE <br />1 ted at 530 N. Niles Avenue. <br />Mr. Hunt asked Mr. Elliott what reaction <br />Valley Development has seen toward the <br />East Bank as they show their land to <br />pinzpective buyers. Mr. Elliott <br />nded that they are finding a very <br />itive reaction to the area at large. <br />Th are some concerns expressed about <br />north and east of that area, but on <br />th whole, there is enthusiasm about the <br />Bank area. He thinks the area will <br />appreciate in value over the next five <br />years, motivated by the developments that <br />going in and by what the <br />RExlevelcpment Commission is doing there. <br />reW <br />Kolata explained that the state <br />.slature amended the redevelopment law <br />atling the process for amending a <br />avelopment plan. As part of the <br />mss for amending a redevelopment <br />i, we must now give notice of public <br />-ing on the amendment to affected <br />des. That includes not only people <br />ce property we plan to acquire, but <br />> to neighborhood organizations which <br />be affected. Neighborhood groups <br />want to be considered affected <br />ahborhood groups and be notified must <br />.ster with the Commission.
