Mr. Piasecki did not vote <br />this item. <br />Mr. N' z recognized Robert Hunt and Carter <br />Wolf to explain a request they would be <br />making of the Commission at a later date. <br />Mr. Wolf explained that Center City <br />Associates would like to amend their contract <br />with the Commission for the Shoppers' Park <br />Free parking lot. The lot is losing <br />approximately $9,000 per year. Although it <br />was no intended to be profit generating, its <br />purpose was to provide parking for customers <br />of the downtown merchants. <br />Center City Associates' proposal will be to <br />amend the Contract so that businesses which <br />contribute to CCA may offer free <br />parking to their customers through a <br />validation procedure. Any other customers <br />would ive one hour of free parking and <br />pay fu any additional parking. <br />Mr. Rctert Hunt, Chairman of the Downtown <br />Merchants Committee supported Mr. Wolf's <br />propose 1. He stated that the lot is not <br />sere' the constituency it was intended for. <br />Preseni ly, it offers two hours of free <br />parking to anyone, including visitors to the <br />County ity Building and the County <br />Courthcise.
