Mrs. Kolata responc ed that the staff had met with the owner z pproximately two weeps ago. The owner in:1icated that he has plans for the building and they should be completed by the end of March. Ms. Aub= noted that the Commission has receivel numerous complaints from businesses in the area about the condition of this buildinj. The developer has owned the buil for approximately five years and the Commiss'on believes it is time to intervene to e that something positive happens on that U M Via- _ 114 D# :o 01410 Mr. Payie asked about the plans for the West QUESTIONS ON WEST WASHINGTON PLAN W on Street area. He is a property owner ii the area targeted for demolition. He liver, in Detroit and indicated that he had not h anything about the Commission's intentions until a month ago. Mrs. Ko ata explained that the Commission has not yet had a presentation on the Conprehensive Plan for the West Wa on /Chapin area. This presentation will be made at the next meeting of the Commiss on, planned for the evening of April 13, 1989. The public will have opportunity to ccmment on the Plan during that meeting. She noted that there has been an active neighbo -hood group working on this Plan for more a year. She suggested that Mr. -7-
