L <br /> 7 <br /> its opinion as to the acceptability of these wastes, the Board will <br /> give consideration to the sewers, nature of the sewage treatment <br /> process, capacity of the sewage treatment plant and other pertinent <br /> factors . In no instance, however, shall a Federally mandated <br /> prohibition be altered to a less stringent standard. The substances <br /> prohibited are: <br /> (1) Any liquid or vapor having a temperature higher <br /> than one hundred fifty (150) degrees Fahrenheit or <br /> sixty five (G5) degrees Celsius . <br /> (2) (1) Any water or waste containing fats, wax, <br /> grease, or oils, whether emulsified or not, in excess of <br /> one hundred (100) mg/1 or containing substances which <br /> may solidify or become viscous at temperatures between <br /> thirty-two and one hundred fifty (32 and 150) degrees <br /> Fahrenheit or zero and sixty-five (0 and 65) degrees <br /> Celsius . <br /> (3) (2) Any garbage that has not been properly <br /> shredded. The installation and operation of any garbage <br /> grinder equipped with a motor of three-fourths (3/4) <br /> horsepower (0 .76 hp metric) or greater shall be subject <br /> to the review and approval of the Board. <br /> (4) (3) Any waters or wastes containing strong acid <br /> iron pickling wastes or concentrated plating solutions <br /> whether neutralized or not . <br /> (5) (4) Any waters or wastes containing iron, <br /> chromium, copper, zinc and similar objectionable or <br /> toxic substances; or wastes exerting an excessive <br /> chlorine requirement, to such degree that any such <br /> material received in the composite sewage at the sewage <br /> treatment works exceeds the limits established by the <br /> Director for such materials . . -. - -_ - ' -- . - - - - - - <br /> shall a discharger release water or waste containing <br /> Parameter 1 Day Maximum 4 Day Average <br /> Arsenic 1 . 0 0 .2 <br /> Cadmium 2 .7 1 .2 <br /> Copper 5 . 0 3 .5 <br /> Cyanide 1 .5 0 .5 <br /> Lead 2 . 0 0 . 8 <br /> Mercury 0 .1 0 . 005 <br /> Nickel 5 . 0 2 ,5 <br /> Total Chromium 7 .5 5 .0 <br /> Zinc 10 .0 6 . 0 <br /> all units mg/l . <br /> (G) (5) Any waters or wastes containing phenols or <br /> other taste or odor producing substances, in such <br /> concentrations exceeding limits which may be established <br /> by the Board as necessary, after treatment of the <br /> composite sewage, to meet the requirements of the State, <br /> Federal or other public agencies of jurisdiction for <br /> such discharge to the receiving waters . <br /> i4}--Any radioactive wftete-s or isotopes of such <br />
