The Commission is <br />still the property owner. The title has <br />not been transferred because the Contract <br />for Sale of Land was amended to allow the <br />partnership to proceed with renovation <br />using their own resources and cash flow <br />instead of private financing. The <br />partnership is requesting ten years of <br />tax abatement. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Piasecki, seconded <br />by Ms. Auburn and unanimously carried, <br />the ommission approved Resolution No. <br />822. <br />7. PROGRESSIREPORTS <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 822 <br />APPROVING APPLICATION FOR REAL <br />PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT CONSIDERATION <br />FOR KIEF'FER /ZIMPELMAN PARTNERSHIP <br />Mr. Hunt noted that the Common Council voted PROGRESS REPORTS <br />to establish the West Washington- Chapin <br />Redevelopment District. There will be a <br />Public H aring on that at the December 11 <br />Commissi n meeting. <br />He also noted that River Glen South office <br />developmDnt and Parkview Atrium office <br />developm nt are moving ahead. The Commerce <br />Building has changed hands and is undergoing <br />renovation. The new Business Communications <br />Center i ready to open in the old license <br />branch b ilding. <br />Jeanne rbeck aksed if there were any other <br />steps in the bonding process. Ms. Schwartz <br />explained that prior to the sale of any bonds, <br />the State Board of Tax Commissioners must <br />issue their approval on the additional <br />appropri tion and on the determination to <br />issue bo ds. No other local bodies need <br />approve e bonds. <br />Mr. Guen ert asked the name of the bond <br />attorney. Mrs. Kolata responded that Baker <br />and Daniels of Indianapolis is the bond <br />attorney. <br />-8- <br />
