South Bend <br />Regular Mee <br />7. <br />elopment Commission <br />- September 25, 1987 <br />REPORTS (Cunt.) <br />Mr. Pi secki questionned how effective <br />the programs have been if such an <br />expenditure has left so little mark. Mr. <br />Hunt noted that problems in the area are <br />split between homeowner properties and <br />rental properties. Early programs have <br />assisted mostly homeowners. The Housing <br />Development Corporation is able to <br />implement rental assistance programs. <br />Ms. =artz noted that Code Enforcement <br />is aactive in the area. <br />Ms. Auburn asked Mr. Wolf to give an <br />update Dn what Center City Associates is <br />doing 1 tely. Mr. Wolf indicated that <br />CCA is focusing on business development <br />in the downtown. They have had some <br />disappo'ntments and some encouragement as <br />they promote their loan fund and are <br />current y trying to leverage more private <br />money for the loan pool. He noted that <br />the Ric and Lutin project is near <br />complet'on. They have just awarded a <br />contra4 on the Si Brazy Building which <br />should completed by the end of the <br />year. <br />8.
