Due to the age and condition of this gear, it has become <br /> necessary to defray expenses within the Fire and E.M.S. Capital <br /> Improvement Fund with an appropriation to upgrade the Department's <br /> turnout clothing. The clothing will be safer and more comfortable <br /> for firefighting and working at other emergencies. <br /> The Department is also in need of refurbishing one ( 1) fire truck <br /> and one ( 1) ambulance (both reserves) .
