Substitute Bill No. 91-93 <br /> Ordinance No. (X1S5-q <br /> A BILL MAKING TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS TO ORDINANCE NO. 8396-93 <br /> FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND <br /> NON-BARGAINING EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA, <br /> FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 1994 AND 1995. <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> In July, the South Bend Common Council passed Ordinance No. 8396-93 which <br /> established maximum salaries and wages for the over 300 non-bargaining personnel <br /> employed by the City of South Bend for calendar years 1994 and 1995. <br /> That ordinance utilized the overall guidelines whereby the majority of such <br /> employees who will meet the eligibility requirements will receive a 1 1/2 % base increase <br /> along with a$ 300.00 bonus in 1994 and a 1 1/2 % base increase in January of 1995 and a <br /> 1 1/2 % base increase in July of 1995. <br /> This ordinance makes technical amendments to Ordinance No. 8396-93 and in <br /> particular focuses upon part-time positions. This ordinance, if passed by the Common <br /> Council would delete part-time positions listed in the prior ordinance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA, as follows: <br /> Section I. The following positions from Ordinance No. 8396-93 are deleted from <br /> Section I entitled"Maximum Compensation": <br /> AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN(PT) $ 8.50 <br /> PART TIME SET UP $ 5.36 <br /> SECURITY GUARD (PT) $10.50 <br /> AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN (PT) $ 8.50 <br /> Section II. All of the other provisions of Ordinance No. 8396-93 are hereby <br /> reaffirmed and continued in full force and effect. <br /> Section III.
