Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the proposal and grant in connection with the Section 312 Loan Program as listed above. d. Commission approval requested for an amendment to the contract with Walke Parking Consultants. Mr. Hunt noted that Walker Parking Consultants did six schematic designs for a parking structure from which we chose three to have them pursue. We are asking them to put together operating pro formas for running each of the proposed garages. We want to determine the most cost effective garage in terms of initial cost, operating cost, and number of parking spaces. This additional work woul increase the cost of the original cont act by $2,000. Mr. Junt noted that with the completion of t e retail and office market studies, the AACOG parking study, and the Walker study, the department hopes to be able to pres nt to the Commission a revised Michigan Street plan for the twelve block area bounded by LaSalle, St. Joseph, Main and onroe Streets by June.
