We <br />are currently on track to spend all of <br />our allocation by May to be in line for <br />reallocated monies distributed then. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal and <br />grant in connection with the Section 312 <br />Loan Program as listed above. <br />d. Commission approval requested for an <br />amendment to the contract with Walke <br />Parking Consultants. <br />Mr. Hunt noted that Walker Parking <br />Consultants did six schematic designs for <br />a parking structure from which we chose <br />three to have them pursue. We are asking <br />them to put together operating pro formas <br />for running each of the proposed garages. <br />We want to determine the most cost <br />effective garage in terms of initial <br />cost, operating cost, and number of <br />parking spaces. This additional work <br />woul increase the cost of the original <br />cont act by $2,000. <br />Mr. Junt noted that with the completion <br />of t e retail and office market studies, <br />the AACOG parking study, and the Walker <br />study, the department hopes to be able to <br />pres nt to the Commission a revised <br />Michigan Street plan for the twelve block <br />area bounded by LaSalle, St. Joseph, Main <br />and onroe Streets by June. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the amendment to the <br />contract with Walker Parking Consultants <br />to c mply with the March 20, 1987 letter <br />to J n Hunt from Walker Parking <br />Cons ltants. <br />-5- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED A PROPOSAL AND <br />GRANT IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />SECTION 312 LOAN PROGRAM <br />COMMISSION APPROVED AN AMENDMENT TO <br />THE CONTRACT WITH WALKER PARKING <br />CONSULTANTS <br />
