Continued... <br />Mr. Leonard, President and General <br />Manager of Business Communication Center <br />explained his company's plans for the <br />property. The company is presently <br />located at 1501 N. Ironwood Drive. They <br />have outgrown their present facility and <br />have been impressed with what has been <br />happening downtown. They have already <br />purchased the property and plan to <br />completely renovate both the interior and <br />exterior of the building. He showed <br />preliminary architectural drawings <br />prepared by James E. Childs and <br />Associates. The BCC will offer both <br />retail sales and service at that <br />loca ion. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Combs, seconded by <br />Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution No. 797 <br />approving real property tax abatement for <br />Hale Corporation for property located in <br />the outh Bend Central Development Area. <br />d. Commission approval requested for a <br />cont act with Automation Strategies, Inc. <br />for omputer services. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that the downtown <br />data base that the department has <br />compiled is currently stored in four <br />different programs and is not yet cross <br />referenced. The department has recently <br />purc ased new database software (R -Base) <br />whica will be used to pull together and <br />mana e all of the information, but we do <br />not aave the staff capacity to develop <br />desired program applications and to pull <br />the information together. Mr. Dennis <br />Huff of Automation Strategies knows the <br />R -Base software and is familiar with our <br />database information, so would be best <br />qualified to set up what we need on <br />R -Base. They will charge $48.00 per hour <br />for 30 to 100 hours of work, not to <br />exce d $4,800.
